Susan C. Fenner, MA, LMHC

Susan Fenner is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Washington. She earned her Masters degree in existential phenomenonological psychology from Seattle University. Born and raised in Seattle, Susan has strong ties to the community.

Before entering private practice, Susan was a therapist and a supervisor at a local community mental health agency. While there, she worked with a wide spectrum of people and a number of different concerns. Susan’s experience includes, but is not limited to, treatment for depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and post-traumatic stress.She has also worked with those recovering from sexual, emotional, and physical abuse, compulsive behavior, and eating disorders. Susan has also taught classes for those struggling with good self-care in the midst of intense daily stress. She regards her work as a therapist as a great privilege and has a desire to see people be able to live their lives with authenticity.

At Summit Counseling, not only do we work to meet your scheduling needs, but also believe in flexibility in many aspects of treatment. Each client is treated as a unique individual with specific issues & goals. The time spent in session and assignments given between sessions are carefully & thoughtfully designed to maximize your efforts & assist you in reaching your goals.

Susan’s role may vary from time to time but overall she works in partnership with each client in order to do the best on his or her behalf. Clients’ need and desires are carefully discussed to ensure that the focus of therapy works to improve the quality of their lives.
